Afternoons at Paisano are always filled with fun, recreation, and relaxation - - great companions to the outstanding worship and Bible studies! This year campers are organizing our afternoon recreational activities. We're bringing back several activities from years past, as well as testing a few new ideas. Browse through this newsletter and plan on helping us out. See you at the rec center or on the rocks.
Golf
Bring your clubs and enjoy an afternoon of golf. Alpine Country Club, $16.25 green fees plus $14 for cart. Marfa Municipal, green fees are $8.50 plus $8.50 for cart. (Marfa is closed Mondays) Get a foursome or contact Judd to play. It's an opportunity to meet new friends and enjoy a game of golf. Judd Porter for info (915)523-4244. Washers and Horseshoes
They're back this year, thanks to Danny Reeves. For those of you who are interested, there'll even be a tournament, so be sure to sign up. All ages are welcome! |

Kids Field Day
Take a break from the rock pile to spend a fun afternoon participating in relay races, "nook'um" volleyball, and all sorts of activities just for younger children. We're thinking about Wednesday from 2-4. If you can help with this fun afternoon, come to the rec meeting after worship on Sunday evening. Bring any relay/game supplies.

Ping Pong

Softball and Tennis
For those who like a game of tennis or softball, equipment is available at the outside rec storage closet.
Volleyball

Karl Kitto (Click here to send Karl an email.) is heading up the volleyball tournament this year. It's always a competitive series. We'll play co-ed, six man volleyball on the sand in a double elimination tourney. (We're working on getting a second outside court this year). Put together a team and sign up in the rec center. Tournament play will begin on Tuesday. Refs are needed, so if you can help out, see Karl at camp. |

Basketball
We'll try organizing the 3 on 3 basketball tournament. Put together a team and sign up in the rec center. Teams are co-ed and the tournament will be double elimination so you have to lose two times to be eliminated. Tournament play begins Tuesday.
Recreation Equipment Needed
We're trying to replenish the recreation equipment and need your help. If you can donate any of the following equipment, it'd be greatly appreciated. Just bring it to Paisano with you.
- tennis rackets
- tennis balls
- a couple sets of washers
- softball gloves
- water balloons
- gunny sacks
- a "nook'um" volleyball and pump with needles
Sign-up sheets for the sports tournaments will be posted in the rec center on Sunday evening. In most cases, tournament play will begin Tuesday afternoon and conclude Wednesday or Thursday. We'll need refs for the tournaments. If you can help, come to the rec meeting Sunday night following worship in the tabernacle.
