Paisano Baptist Encampment

Deeply Rooted in the Future

Deeply Rooted in the Future

Who can predict the future with any certainty? Who could have known at that first prayer meeting that we would still be here 100 years later?  Our future is known only to the Lord with whom we trust. We trust him and we trust our future to Him. As I look over the past week at our nursery, our day camp and the youth group it appears we have a bright future. Families keep growing and returning to these mountains each summer. And God keeps providing the resources through these families year after year.

Our future is deeply rooted in our past. No better words reflect the past and the future better than these written to me by Mariwyn Maloney:

“My first time at Paisano was eighty-one years ago when I was six months old. As a child I wanted to live at Paisano year round. As I grew, my love for Paisano grew. My prayer for Paisano is that it will remain a place to save souls, a safe haven for children, and a serene retreat to hear God’s word.”

By God’s grace this will be our future.
