Bryan Ritchie, Superintendent

Bryan Ritchie

Born and raised in Alpine on the RRR Ranch, Bryan Ritchie works full-time for Paisano and raises rodeo stock on the ranch. He and his wife Micaela have a daughter Tannin and two sons, John and Ty. His grandfather Bill Sohl attended Paisano for many years, and Bryan feels blessed to be reconnected with the encampment.

Bryan has worked at Paisano for the past 5 years. In that time he has developed an understanding of our unique history and camp family. He is well known by the local population and is knowledgeable of the camp Infrastructure.

 

Sandra and David “Coach” Whiting

David WhitingSandra Whiting

Sandra and David Whiting both graduated from Wayland Baptist University in Plainview. Originally from Canton, Sandra taught in public schools for 30 years and spent 3 years in private school. David graduated from high school in Idalou and coached 42 years in public schools, 33 of those also teaching math. He later taught 5 years in a private school.

The couple began attending the encampment when their daughter Brandee married into a long-time Paisano family. They also have daughter Paige and three grandchildren—Clay, Christian and Katherine.

Prior to becoming Paisano’s administrative assistant in 2012, Sandra served on the Properties Committee and handled encampment reservations. Sandra and David both teach Sunday School at First Baptist Church, Fort Davis where David functions as a deacon and Sandra plays the piano and organ.
